Tapesh Events Spring 2011
Workhops, events and films for LGBTI communities in Spring 2011
Under the motto with heart and vision against violence and discrimination,
as part of our empowerment-project Tapesh, we are offering a series of
empowerment-workshops, events and film nights led by visionaries and
experienced activists. The events are for lesbians, gays, bisexuals,
trans* and intersexual people with different social and cultural
backgrounds. The program offers spaces for creative exchange
and dialogue, for participants to share different experiences of
violence and discrimination, as well as ways to deal with them. Some of the offered events are in English.
Workshop space is limited, so please register with us prior to the dates. By Email: info@lesmigras.de (please include the title of the workshop in the subject line) or by phone: +49.30.21.91.50.90
All venues are wheelchair accessible.

Moving tongues, speaking bodies!
With Layla Zami und Oxana Chi
All LGBTI welcome, all languages welcome.
Location: Lesbenberatung Berlin e.V. , Kulmer Str. 20a, 10783 Berlin
A workshop about language: tongue
and body! For everybody who speaks languages other than German and
sometimes doesn’t understand why Schönen Tag noch does not go
with a smile…In this workshop about words and body language, we will use
activities that focus on language, theatre, writing, yoga and tai chi
to learn how to move more easily through the daily German-speaking
environment. We use activities around. With humour, we say and show that
we all have the same rights. Please bring comfortable clothes. German
language can be used but no knowledge necessary.

Giving Support
With J.ay Keim, Sandra Wille, Joy Zalzala
Open to LBTI
auf Deutsch & in English
Location: Lesbenberatung Berlin e.V., Lesbenberatung Berlin e.V. , Kulmer Str. 20a, 10783 Berlin
Many people feel insecure about supporting someone who experience(d) violence and/or discrimination: How
can I intervene in a violent situation? How can I offer support that
relates to my own position? How do I take care of my own boundaries
while giving support? Based on our experiences of community based
work in LesbianTrans communities we want to offer ideas for support and
develop strategies together. (We won’t talk about real incidents of
violence nor will we do role plays.)
Tuesday, 24. 05. 2011, 18:00
